Originally I bought this book hoping for an in depth review of the subject. It turns out that it is not a review but rather self contained. It complements heavily other books on string theory. I would recommend if you are looking to get involved with research in the field.
I bought this book looking for a concise mathematical description of string theory. I didn't find it here, but I have been pleasantly surprised as I spend more and more time using this book. I bought another set of string theory books. I have found that although it does not give a mathematical description of topics, it gives the primary literature and complements well my other books. It has been useful for comparing topics. The online portions of the book are updated and I would recommend this book to anyone looking for depth and primary literature on the subject. An awesome book that complements and updates previous literature on the subject such as Schwartz.
